has been a very good day and i'd like to capture something of it to remember later
the windows were open for the first time since forever summer
fresh air and scent of good apples from back east
combined with brown sugar and oats as I worked
complemented all done well quick and early
brief late afternoon nap no grouch after
breeze turned to gust turned to sudden rain
as night gathered to itself all the once just baby shadows
talking great depression communism as the pizzawoman arrived
bad movie bad food all yummy
animals all play and love
and now to cool sheets cuddling
heavy lidded and smiling quietly inside
