Heaven

Do I believe in Heaven,
or simply hope without belief? No...
but if at the last moment of life
and the first moment of death
my memory emptied itself
into my immediate perception
and the wronged forgave
and the uncertain committed
and the mysterious revealed
and the loved and lost stood welcoming back
a dog in front with tail wagging
my heart could break and mend one last time
forever and ever
